A university plans to develop a new research center in your country. Somepeople want a center for business research. Other people want a center forresearch in agriculture (farming). Which of these two kinds of research centersdo you recommend for your country? Use specific reasons in your recommendation.

When it refersto build a center for the research of business or agriculture, people's opinionsare divergent on such a controversial issue. As everyone knows, China is themost populous developing country in the world, no matter business oragriculture plays a key role in its future development. So it is really adilemma to choose between the two circumstances to the public. From thepersonal perspective I prefer build a center for agriculture research as myinclination. Among countless factors which directly or indirectly influence,there are several conspicuous aspects as follows.

First and theforemost, the research of agriculture sector is helpful to solve feeding thecountry’spopulation.
A recent investigationconducted by officials indicates that there are still 200 millions of needypeople in China who are struggling for their vital needs. Obviously, to go up thegrain output in order to get adequate food, agriculture researcher has theeffect that cannot be replaced.

In addition, withthe advance in agriculture science, the peasants’ income will increase gradually.
For instance, more and more geneticallychanged crops have produced in recent years. By changing its gene, the crops whichhave more production yield bigger profits. Furthermore, the increasing ofpeasant’sincome can drive to raise the government’s GDP, which is a standard to judgepeople’saverage income of this country.

Finally, thetraditional agriculture with chemical fertilizer and excess reclamationthreaten the environment a lot. Therefore, the modern agriculture researchercould seek a new way to protect the nature from destroy.
One of the examples is that by using the techniqueof drop irrigation and spray irrigation instead of traditional ways, the waterwill be saved almost 30%. As a result of the reducing of nature resource, thewhole world is seeking sustainable development now. The more agriculture techniques,the more environment problem will be solved.

Taking intoaccount all these factors, develop a new center for agriculture research wouldbenefit my country a lot. However, the research of business is also animportant pillar to a country’s development. If a government can keep the balance ofagriculture and business, it will advance steadily.
